Safer earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Economics from Boston University in 1957; Juris Doctor in 1970 from Marquette University Law School; and a Masters of Law degree in Taxation in 1983 from The John Marshall Law School. Owned and managed his own retail business from 1958 to 1967; entered the private practice of law in 1970. Emphasis on estate planning, family law, real estate, business and corporate law.
